Apple cake with boost herbal tea.
When I have apples that are already a bit wrinkled, I like to turn them into apple cake. For a change, I added a boost of herbal tea to this recipe. The combination of the apples with rosemary, lemon and ginger is very nice. It gives some extra spice to this cake. Highly recommended!
- 200g flour
- 100g sugar
- 20g boost herbal tea
- 50g butter
- 1/2 packet baking powder
- 1 egg
- 15 cl milk
- 2 small or 1 large apples
Heat the milk and let the boost herbal tea steep for 15 min.
Beat the egg with the sugar until frothy
Add the melted butter and milk
Add the flour and the baking powder bit by bit
Cut the apple into small pieces and add them to the dough
Put the dough in a baking tin and bake for 45 min at 180°.
