In this recipe, I included pieces of tomato. Tomatoes from the garden that I sterilised in jars. This then makes the tart a little creamier and goes very well with the flavour of the chicory and honey.

Ingredients for 4 people:

Preparation time: 10 min

Cooking time: 40 min


  1. Cut the vegetables into cubes.
  2. Fry the onion in a pan with the olive oil and add the vegetables. Fry gently for 15 min.
  3. Add salt, pepper and spices.
  4. Add the honey to caramelise the vegetables.
  5. Place the dough in a form and cover with vegetables.
  6. Bake for 20 min. in the oven at 180°.
  7. Serve chicory pie with tomatoes and maqui honey with a crisp salad.
